Cinderella always has time for the birds

Every girl has her favorite princess, and while I love and respect Belle and Tiana, and Rapunzel is growing on me, I’ve always been inspired by Cinderella. She does what she has to do, and does it without ever letting the world beat her down. And in the end, the magic happens and she meets her Prince – but her history and her grace is what takes that meeting beyond a polite hello.

It’s Friday, and we start homeschool on Monday. Am I ready? No….not even close. I’m going to need a small army to get the classroom reorganized, the materials for projects assembled and ready to go, and so on. I could blame it on the crazy summer we’ve had with Patrick being so sick, but the truth is I’ve just been plain distracted. I love homeschooling, I love the time I get to spend with my kids and that I am an active participant in their days, but it’s not all sunshine and roses. There are days when the inspiration just isn’t there and I’d rather be doing other things. Oh well – time’s up, time to get moving. If you’d like to join me in the gory details, I’m blogging about the classroom resurrection at Living at the Speed of Life.

Here’s the inspiration I’m working from today – If you’ve got a family of mice handy, send them my way!
