Space Mountain – A Galaxy of Twists, Turns, and Drops!

Welcome to those of you joining me from My Dreams of Disney and those of you just hopping aboard. I am the final stop on our Magical Blogorail. For this very special edition, our kids are taking over the Blogorail, and sharing their favorite ride or attraction at Disney parks. Today my oldest son, Will, talks about his favorite ride: Space Mountain! Space Mountain’s awesome! If I had to explain it in one word it would be: ZOOM! I really like the futuristic looking train, but you’ll never guess how fast it goes! 3o mph. Not the fastest I must admit. But it feels like you’re going warp speed. The train it self  looks like a spaceship. The track seems to take you on a joyride through the galaxy. First you go under a control tower. Then you go through a blue #8217;s when the fun begins. Welcome to Flashback Friday!

It’s Friday. Finally. Time to relax a bit and Flashback Friday is a perfect way to do it! Thanks to Sarah Gillanders at Magical Days with the Mouse for putting it together. I generally tend to think of our September 2010 trip to Walt Disney World as my “first #8221; It was the first time I went to the Florida parks. But….I grew up in Southern California (well, mostly). We moved to Los Angeles in 1985, when I was 8 years old. Before that, we lived in a tiny ranching community in the mountains of Northern California, about 50 miles from the Oregon border.
