Road Trip Goodies – JollyVoxBox Preview from Influenster

A few weeks ago, I received an invitation to join Influenster – a community of bloggers who work with companies to provide honest product reviews. Last week, a JollyVoxBox showed up on my doorstep full of goodies! (Disclaimer: I received complementary samples of each product in exchange for an honest review.) As always, my goal is to give you the best information I can to make your travels as easy and fun as possible. Having said that, I’m excited that most of the products in this first review box are worthy of a spot on your packing list. One of them has serious creative potential, and whether you want to include it in your road trip plans is up to you! I’ll post individual reviews of each of these over the next couple of weeks, but for now I wanted to give you a preview and some initial impressions:...

Review: Journey to the Magic

Overview Journey to the Magic is a really sweet introduction to the Walt Disney World Resort for children. It’s written in rhyming verse that young children or children with developmental delays including autism will appreciate. The verse is well-written, so Mom and Dad won’t mind reading it over…and over…and over! The first section of the book guides kids through the four theme parks of the Walt Disney World Resort, highlighting some of the attractions they will see in each park. It is filled with photographs to help kids visualize each area. The second section of the book gets the kids involved with dreaming and planning for their dream vacation to Walt Disney World Resort. There are write-in pages for them to make notes about particular attractions or shows they most want to see, and other things that are important to them. Next, the author has included a variety of...

American Tourister Colora Luggage Review

Recently, I was given the opportunity to review the new American Tourister Colora luggage line. I’ll admit – I was skeptical! A suitcase is a suitcase, right? But Disney has just declared American Tourister the Official Luggage of the Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts. That tells me there’s something special going on here, and I needed to check it out. One of the things Disney does better than anybody is get the tiny details just right. I saw the same qualities in the American Tourister Colora bag – they anticipated my needs as a traveler and met them before I even had a chance to worry about it. Anybody who can do that is welcome to travel with me any time! Convenience Traveling isn’t always easy, so when the tools of travel make it a little easier, that’s a huge win. The Colora line has convenience built into...

How David Met Sarah: A Special Love Story

Sometimes the most ordinary things in the world are the most beautiful – it just takes a special person to show it. Much of what I write about here are ordinary things: a family vacation, a ride at an amusement park. It took some very special kids to show me how amazing, how beautiful those things can be. How David Met Sarah is the story of the most ordinary, beautiful thing in the world: boy meets girl and they fall in love. It’s a story as old as humanity itself. What makes this story beautiful are the characters. David is a 24 year old man with Down Syndrome. He first notices Sarah, “the girl of his dreams,” in the diner where he eats breakfast every day. Like many young men, he spends the next several weeks in a fog trying to figure out how to meet her, how to...
