Planning a Second Disney Vacation

It’s finally happening! After three very long years, we’re finally going to “Return to Disney!” Planning a second Disney vacation is very different from planning our first trip. Over the next few weeks, I’ll be posting about some of the things that have changed, and some of the things I’m doing differently this time around. I’ve planned this trip in so many different ways, and now that it’s real I’m so ready to toss the kids in the car and head to Florida. I’m a little worried that this next trip can’t possibly live up to my memories and my expectations. After all, most people don’t get so obsessed over a vacation that they start blogging about it. Special Events at Walt Disney World

Image courtesy of Heidi Strawser. Thank you! With summer winding down and Fall in the air, life is starting to gear up toward the holiday season. First there’s Halloween, then we go right into Thanksgiving, and Christmas, not to mention birthdays and apple picking and a handful of other traditions. Epcot International Food & Wine festival starts September 28 and runs through November 12. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party starts as soon as Halloween ends, running from November 9 through December 21. Holidays Around the World at Epcot happens between November 23 and December 30. You get the idea! These are the major...

Unfortunately that can prevent us from even trying – the knowledge that Disney is expensive. It might even seem out of reach, so we don’t even try. Today I’d like to answer the top 5 Disney budget questions that I hear all the time: Q: Just how much does a Disney vacation cost? A: That all depends on the options you choose...

First Footing – Disney Style on Wordless Wednesday

Thanks to Debs at Focused on the Magic for hosting Wordless Wednesday! I’m actually following the theme for once, which is “First Footing” – the tradition that first steps into a new home are important and lucky. Since I’ve actually experienced something very like homesickness for Walt Disney World, and the concierge at our resort did welcome us home when we checked in, I think it works! So today, I’ll share my very first picture taken at Walt Disney World: Pin It
