Hiding from Goofy
Welcome to those of you joining me from Ramblings, Reflections and Reviews and those of you just hopping aboard. I am the 2nd stop on our Magical Blogorail. Today we’re discussing our favorite character dining experiences!
Character dining was a brand new experience for all of us on our 2010 trip. Neither of us grown-up types had experienced it as children, but it definitely seemed like something the kids would enjoy, so we made sure to schedule a couple when we made our dining reservations. On the second or third day of our trip, we attended Donald’s Safari Breakfast at Tusker House in Animal Kingdom.
For most of our trip, Beth had been talking about Goofy – but when the time time came to actually meet him she chickened out and hid behind Mama! So, we’ve got great pictures of the boys with Goofy, but Beth wouldn’t go near him. Poor Goofy!
Clearly, she had no such shyness about Donald…although unlike Mickey, Donald didn’t get a kiss because “Daisy would be mad.”
Thank you for joining me today. Your next stop on the Magical Blogorail Loop is A Glass Slipper Vacation.

Aw, very sweet! Goofy is an imposing character at 7+ft. Must have been intimidating!

What a cute post. I’m glad I picked this topic for this month, because here you are – the 1st stop after my post – and already I’ve been introduced to a character meal that we’ve not yet tried.
I had fun writing it – great topic choice Heidi!
So cute! I have heard this is one of the best character breakfast and can’t wait to try it out on our next trip! Great post 🙂
What a cute story! I love that she would not kiss Donald. By the way Donald is my favorite charachter!
We’re doing the Tusker House breakfast for the first time in October. It’s our first ever park breakfast in fact (we’re not exactly rope-droppers!)
Cute story! We haven’t tried Donald’s yet, but hope to one of these trips! Our kids are the same way though, we always have one or two who are all over the characters and one who picks and chooses who isn’t “scary!” 🙂
I’ve been wanting to try Tusker House, good pics!
Aww!! Cute!
