Disney Dining Plan Worth It?

With rumors about the Fall Free Dining Plan Promotion flying around the blogosphere, questions about the dining plan can’t be far behind. The big one is always “Is the Disney Dining Plan worth it?” (of course, if Disney is giving it away, it’s definitely worth it – but what if you can’t travel during the dates of this promotion?) The Disney Dining Plan can be confusing, with three options to choose from that cover a wide variety of restaurants, snack carts, and dining experiences around the Walt Disney World Resort. It’s also not cheap, adding several hundred dollars to your vacation package total. The big question, of course, is “Is the Disney Dining Plan worth the money?” Here’s how our family came to the decision to buy the Disney Dining Plan, and why we’ll keep buying it – although if you’re on the fence, taking advantage of the Free Dining...

Easter, Disney Style on Disney Foodie Blog Hop

Welcome back to the Disney Foodie Blog Hop! Our theme this week is Easter, Disney Style. Link up, follow the blogs you find interesting, and let’s eat! We have a tradition that when we celebrate holidays at home, each member of the family chooses a dish for the meal. I got to choose our dessert for Easter (well….one of them anyway. It’s just not worth arguing with a kid who insists that we must have carrot cake for the Easter Bunny. And I like carrot cake so it’s all good). Snacks Make the Disney Dining Plan Worth It

Welcome to the Disney Foodie blog hop! Our theme this week is Snacktime. Participation in the weekly theme is not mandatory, but is a lot of fun! Feel free to be creative in your interpretation – post a foodie photo from the parks, your favorite Disney-inspired recipes, or a story with food at its heart. Link up to your post, hop through to see what others have written, and remember to leave a comment – every blogger is really looking for a conversation with their readers! We’re not usually big on snacks in our house. It’s just such a production to get everybody sitting down at the table, and it seems like even the simplest snacks have variations. This kid wants peanut butter on his graham crackers. That one wants his sandwiched. If i served morning and afternoon snacks, I’d never leave the kitchen! The alternative is to set...

Follow the Disney Foodie Goodness

I’ve been playing with two new sites that I’ve just got to share with my Disney Foodie friends! What better time than the Disney Foodie Blog Hop to share them with you? Ok, Pinterest isn’t all that new. It’s all over the social media world right now as the Next Big Thing. I’m not sure exactly, but I’ve been playing with it. You can save photos of interesting stuff to inspiration boards. I’ve created one called Foodie Finds that you can follow, because I know you’re all dying to see what yummy stuff I find on the net! I Wanna Nom! is a newer site – Pinterest just for Foodies! I only found it a few days ago, so I don’t have a ton of things pinned there, but still. Major foodie geeking going on – check out the stuff I’ve found in the last few days: TBallad on...
