Getting Creative with Disney Imagicademy {Review}

Welcome to the third post in our winter boredom busters series, sponsored by Wonder Forge Games! Today we’re playing with two Disney Imagicademy activity kits designed for younger kids Disney Imagicademy Frozen Science Disney Imagicademy Storymation Studio Since the boys got to geek out on Star Wars last week, and seem to have an odd allergy to all things Frozen (Let it Go, guys!), This time it was just us girls – and we had a BLAST! First up: Frozen Science activity kit. It comes with an activity book full of puzzles and science experiments that my daughter was able to do all by herself. The kit comes with a variety of colored pencils, stickers, a mister, rainbow glasses, and colored dye tabs for use in one of the experiments. I really liked that none of the experiments involved materials that I didn’t have on hand, and they really challenged...

Star Wars Game Day {Review}

It’s no secret: we’re a family of geeks and gamers. Star Wars is kind of a thing in our house, so when Wonder Forge Games asked if I’d like to review their latest Star Wars themed board games, I immediately put “Star Wars Game Day” on the calendar. And well…you saw the boys’ reaction to it in our first unboxing video. What you didn’t see was my husband behind the camera. He was geeking out as much as anyone! I was provided products to review by the manufacturer. The opinions expressed in this article are my own. We played three games: Star Wars Pictopia Star Wars Galaxy Hunt Star Wars Star Destroyer Strike Overall, we had a great time. All three games were simple enough for the younger kids to enjoy, but interesting enough for the older ones — and adults — to enjoy as well. We started out...

The team at Wonder Forge Games has sent us a box of boredom-busters to review, and we’ll be taking a look at them over the next couple of weeks but today I wanted to share our “unboxing” video as a preview of things to come. Have you played any of these games yet? Let me know what you thought of them in the comments below! Be sure to check out Wonderforge Games on Facebook and Twitter too. Every day I’ll post a question or a challenge with the #DisneySide hashtag – hope you’ll play along! And of course, no party is complete without presents 🙂 Erin found this adorable Disney vinylmation ornament while she was picking up treats for some of her clients at the Disney Store, and we decided it would be the perfect giveaway. Enter below, and be sure to leave a comment. Today’s #DisneySide question: How do you add a little Disney magic to your holiday season? A Grand Floridian Christmas Party

Welcome to those of you joining me from Magical Mouse Schoolhouse and those of you just hopping aboard. I am the 2nd stop on our Magical Blogorail. This month we’re celebrating the holidays at home – Disney-style. Since I won’t be resort-hopping this December (as much as I’m tempted to run away from all the planning and shopping and preparation sometimes!), I decided to throw a Grand Floridian Christmas party! Make a Grand Floridian Gingerbread House The gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian Resort is truly legendary. My gingerbread house won’t be quite this elaborate! I’ve actually never made a real gingerbread house – the ones we did in elementary school, with graham crackers, don’t count. Every Christmas, I decide I want to create one of these amazingly beautiful pieces of artwork, but somehow I always end up too busy, too tired, too stressed out to actually do it. I have...
